Late 70s Reuther Drums

Ahh Reuther, the crown jewel of the Japanese Empire...wait, no...

This is a set of late 1970s Reuther drums with a 20" bass drum, 14" snare drum, 12" tom and 16" floor tom in a "red" finish. My parents, following my specific drum buying rule which states, "Any drum thing that is less than $50 must be purchased," bought these beauties for $45.

I don't know a ton about Reuther drums aside from the fact that they were one of the multitude of drums being made by Pearl. They are your typical Japanese drums of this period. Bad hardware, weird sound and like some many drums from this era, missing all of the resonant heads and hardware. Still, they were $45.
